NCAA Basketball Betting Lines

Mike Singletary added 16 points, while David Tairu and D'walyn Roberts each had 15 points for the Red Raiders (12-2), who improved to 10-0 at home this season. Roberts also had 13 rebounds for Texas Tech, which won despite shooting 39 percent from the field.

Derrick Caracter ended with 21 points and six boards to pace the Miners (9-3), who had a four-game winning streak snapped. Randy Culpepper tallied 16 points and Julyan Stone 12 for Texas-El Paso, which made 40.3 percent of its shots from the floor.

The Red Raiders scored the final nine points of the first half to take a 35-28 lead into the locker room.

Down, 52-47, near the midway point of the second half, the Miners went on a 12-1 run to take the lead. Isaac Gordon's trey had UTEP in front, 59-53, with 8:33 to play.

A pair of Tairu free throws tied the game at 68 with 4:50 to go. With the score deadlocked at 72-72 moments later, the Red Raiders used a small 8-2 burst to take control. Roberson's two free throws made it 80-74 with 51 ticks left on the clock.

The Miners never got closer than four the rest of the way.

Game Notes

TTU leads the all-time series with UTEP, 43-18, and that includes a 25-6 mark when playing in Lubbock. The Miners though, captured a 96-78 victory over the Raiders in El Paso last season.
